The conventional hot brewing technique tends to elevate acidity levels in coffee, posing a challenge for those with sensitive stomachs. In 1964, Todd Simpson, a graduate in chemical engineering, ingeniously developed and patented a cold brewing system. This revolutionary method, utilizing regular coffee beans, produces a remarkably flavorful cup of piping hot coffee with acidity levels reduced by a staggering 67% compared to traditional hot brewing.
The resulting coffee is bold yet exceptionally smooth. The Toddy Cold Brew System isn’t limited to coffee; it excels in brewing tea, whether served hot or transformed into a refreshing iced tea.
